dislocated is our Fall 2025 online juried exhibition.

We invite artists to submit work for dislocated, a group exhibition exploring themes of unease, displacement, and disconnection. This exhibition examines what it means to be uprooted—whether from a physical place, a sense of belonging, or within one’s own body. We seek work that reflects on instability, transition, and transformation, confronting the fractures in identity, memory, and space.

The exhibition will examine these ideas through a variety of mediums in art. Any mediums are welcome, including but not limited to sculpture, painting, collage, photography, digital art, video art, installation, ceramics, performance art…anything you can think of! You may submit up to 3 artworks for a $5 fee, due September 20, 2025. Artists will receive a notification a week after the deadline. Students may submit for free with the code STUDENT25 (to use this, please use your school email when applying). The exhibition will go live October 2025.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at midwestniceart@gmail.com.

This exhibition will be juried by Amber Zora. Zora is an interdisciplinary artist based in Rapid City, SD. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography + Integrated Media from Ohio University. Zora has exhibited her work in local and national galleries including the San Francisco Arts Commission, the Las Vegas Contemporary Art Center, Chicago Cultural Center and the National Veterans Art Museum, among other spaces.
