The Nice Art Grant is an artist grant provided by Midwest Nice Art.
Nice Grant is an unrestricted grant of $500 that supports emerging and mid-career artists. This annual grant is due January 20; each cycle, at least two artists will be selected to enhance their creative practices. This grant will be juried by Midwest Nice Art co-founders Tim Rickett + Epiphany Knedler, and previous nice art grant winners Josh johnson and emma mckay ryan. Winners will be asked to help jury Nice Grant in the following year. Winners will receive unrestricted grant funds, a blog profiling their art and creative practice, a post pinned to our profile, and consideration for future jurying and curatorial opportunities.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age and located within the United States. The $10 application fee is non-refundable; all applicants must pay the fee to be considered. All fees go back into the grant pool and help support further opportunities for artists through Midwest Nice Art, including exhibitions, juror fees, education, and operating and administrative costs. Midwest Nice Art aims to create accessible opportunities for artists. Applicants will hear back from us with a decision in early Spring.
