Strands of Silver explores the beauty, complexity, and inevitability of time. This juried exhibition invites artists to reflect on the ephemeral nature of existence and the visible and invisible marks left by the passage of time.

We seek work that examines aging, memory, transformation, impermanence, and the spaces that exist between beginnings and endings. From the joys and wonder of childhood to the wisdom, grief, resilience, and reflection that often accompany later years, time shapes every life in profound ways.

Fleeting moments define the human experience: a cherished memory, a changing landscape, a fading photograph, a season passing into the next. Artists are encouraged to interpret this theme broadly and through their own unique lens.

We welcome works that explore:

  • Aging and the passage of time

  • Memory, nostalgia, and personal history

  • Growth, transformation, and change

  • Cycles of life and/or nature

  • Impermanence and mortality

  • Fleeting moments and transient beauty

All media and artistic styles are encouraged. Through Strands of Silver, we hope to create a thoughtful and compelling collection of works that invite viewers to consider their own relationship with time and the ever-changing nature of life.

Untitled.10 is a visual art organization operating out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Our mission is to create art events in public spaces giving artists in our community a platform to share their artwork and their voices. We strive to be equitable, inclusive, and open minded in our process. There are many talented artists in our community and we feel there is a need for diverse and locally driven arts programming.

untitled.10 is co-organized by Tyson Schultz, Levi Sternburg, and Kenzie Shubert.
